My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms could use some updating, and the smell of smoke was quite overwhelming, leading us to buy air fresheners to try to improve the odor. On the bright side, the staff was very helpful and even offered us a discounted ticket to Grandfather Mountain park. The location was convenient for all our activities in Boone, but the breakfast area lacked some attention to detail. The dining experience was decent, although the breakfast options were limited.
